Sympathy on US Soldiers in Iraq? Hell no! - Friday, December 10, 2004

A few days ago I received an email containing pictures of US Soldiers in Iraq, it had a note saying,
"Please pass the pictures on. Sometimes in our
> everyday lives we tend to
> forget what's going on elsewhere in the world and
> that the brave men and
> women of the service are just like you and I. They
> have family and friends
> back home who love them very much and are praying
> for their safe return.
>
>
> PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING EVEN IF YOU HAVE PASSED IT ON
> BEFORE
>
> When you receive this, please stop for a moment and
> say a prayer for the
> people in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, and all around
> the world. There is
> nothing attached....... This can be very
> powerful......Just send this to
> people in your address book. Do not stop the wheel,
> please..."

Well, think again. It contains pictures of US soldiers striking his fingers on a kitty, US Soldiers having good time with local people, etc. I don't care. So I replied back to the sender. And here's my response.

"Tsk.. Please tell me why these photos don't make news.
I just can't make anything of it. All I saw was a
helpless country got blown away by a superpower
country. How's that sounds?

Are all these photos supposed to make us sympathize
for soldiers who put their life on the edge for a
lousy decision made by a lousy president? True, they
left their beloved ones, their family. True, they
fight for their country (or is it?). But, who takes
all the advantages? Women and children of Iraqi were
killed. How about these soldiers' family? They are in
well condition. Sit comfortably at home having been
voted again for a lousy president. Their family
must've not loved these soldiers. Had they loved them,
they would've vote the other guy who'd probably
withdraw all the soldiers home. Give them a chance to
meet their family. But, no.. they didn't. Give me an
explanation on that one.

The world was a better place before US invaded Iraq.
It's simple logic. Never squeeze a balloon. It seems
vulnerable. But, if you squeeze too hard, it will
blow. Terrorist won't exist if you don't create one.
US is terrorist factory. Think about it."

I don't understand what fact you want me to check. The message is clear. It asked to go on forwarding the message. The message is clear. It shows pictures of US soldiers. Even if the photos are hoaxes, the email clearly asked for sympathy which I will not give to them. So, please enlight me. What fact checking do you want? - SanKee

I will sympathize with the soldiers, not fun going to war. Especially if it is by orders of a genocidal asswipe like Bush. The world would've been a better place if he had died in a car accident or something.
